We are Hartford Soccer Club

Hartford Soccer Club is the Hartford area’s longest-running soccer club, with a rich history of enriching the lives of our youth through learning and developing the game of soccer.

Originally founded as Hartford Area Sideliners, Inc. in 1980, the organization began as a parent-led group supporting youth sports, including boxing, wrestling, gymnastics, and soccer.

By 1985, soccer had become the primary focus, leading to the transition from Hartford Sideliners Soccer Club to Hartford Soccer Club. Despite the name change, "Sideliners" remains a proud part of the club’s identity, symbolizing over 40 years of dedication to fostering athletic growth and community spirit in Hartford.

Today, Hartford Soccer Club continues to build on its legacy, providing opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills and passion for the game.

About Us

At Hartford Soccer Club (HSC), our mission is to provide children in our community, starting at age three, with the opportunity to enjoy fun, engaging, and competitive soccer. We are dedicated to coaching each player to reach their full potential in an environment that emphasizes fun, fitness, fair play, and personal development. Through skill-building and growth-focused training, we create pathways for players to advance both on and off the field.

We take pride in offering premium training while keeping our programs affordable and accessible to all families. This balance is made possible through the generous support of our volunteers, donors, fundraisers, and sponsors. As a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 1980 (formerly known as The Hartford Sideliners Soccer Club), we are committed to fostering a love for the game and building a strong, supportive community around soccer.

The Hartford Sideliners Soccer Club strives to:

Further its member's appreciation for and understanding of soccer
Focus on fun, fitness, and fair play while encouraging players to do their best at all times
Provide the finest possible club support, coaching, and facilities enabling players to develop their athletic abilities and soccer skills to the highest level
